I had an appt at 7:30 am and dropped the car off at 8:00 am. I had scheduled an oil change and tire rotation and my car was not done at 4:00 pm. I called at lunch time checked on it and the car was not ready, called again before I came to pick it up at 3:30 said they were finishing up. I got the dealership at 4:00pm and needed to be in Saraland to pick my child up from his school by 4:30. I was stranded at the dealership as a coworker dropped me off. I told the cashier this and she went and spoke with several people and my car was not ready until 4:40pm. Leaving my child stranded at his school. It shouldn't take almost 9 hours to change oil and rotate tires. I have never had this horrible of service at McConnell.

Confusing how you check in now. I pulled up and waited over 5min with everyone walking around or in their little glass offices. One guy finally came out and took me inside to another guy by the door. I came to McConnell looking for a mid-size SUV. My salesperson, Chris Hamberg, showed me a Buick Enclave and GMC Acadia and explained all the different features. I decided on the Acadia that day and completed all the necessary paperwork. I never felt pressured, as I expected to be during the visit, instead I felt comfortable throughout the transaction and confident that I was making the correct choice. The finance manager was very friendly and knowledgeable and made the financing process quick and easy. When I returned the next day to pick up the vehicle, Patel helped explain the basic features of the vehicle and even helped me setup the MyGMC app and other accounts. Every step of the process from day one was smooth and without stress.

We are not pleased with the fact that we no longer are able to use our preferred service writer, Joe Coleman. We have been with McConnell for well over 25 years and we have always had the pleasure of Joe attending to the services of our vehicles. Joe was an exceptional service writer and gave his customers a quality experience. Most recently, we asked for the breaks to be checked on our newest vehicle, 2025 Buick Enclave ST. The report showed that the breaks were lubricated. However, when breaks are applied, they are still making a squealing noise, This shuold not happening with a brand new 2025 vehicle, and it is unfortunate that we will have to make arrangments to bring it in a second time in an attempt to get the breaks repaired/replaced, whichever is needed in order for our brand new 2025 not to make squealing noise when breaks are applied. This is not acceptable.

My experience was wonderful at McConnell. Peggy O'Brien was a great, no pressure, knowledgeable, and understanding Salesperson. She was even helpful to me when I called her while she was at home. I did a lot of research and went to at least 5 dealerships. I was in contact with over 8 dealerships. Peggy was one of the first I contacted, and she was always there for me. She knew I was shopping around and understood my indecision between the Chevy and the GMC. It really ended up coming down the fact that I like Peggy and she was so helpful. 1. This is the 2nd visit I've made & my windshield washer fluid was not filled. Had to ask on this visit, after my vehicle was "done", to have it topped off. Having fluids checked & topped off is a part of the oil change service, I believe. If something as simple as windshield washer fluid is being overlooked, what other fluids aren't being checked? 2. My serpentine belt has visible fraying on it & has been this way the last two visits yet nothing was noted nor mentioned to me about it. I believe GMC's policy suggests changing these belts between 60-100K miles. Belts are also listed on the MPVI to be inspected. Yet nothing has been mentioned about mine on a vehicle with 85K miles. I have to question if it's being inpected or not. The people at McConnell are very nice & easy to deal with. However, I believe there is an issue in the service/technician area. Seems that the boxes are being "checked" without the actual work being done. Trust is a big part of this type service and currently I'm having trust issues with you guys. I bring my vehicle to the dealership because that's the "best practice"/ "gold standard" to keep my vehicle operating at an optimal level. The MPVI is done to keep potential issues from happening - proactive vs reactive.....I don't feel like I'm receiving 5 start dealership work... it's giving 15 minute Jiffy Lube vibes and I don't believe that's what you guys are striving for. Katelyn Moye is fantastic, a real asset to your team. Colin, in detailing, was very helpful, cleaning pine sap off my car. I rate those two a ten out of ten. I brought my car in for 4 things: Change oil, rotate tires, pine sap on the car (I parked it under a pine tree and didn’t realize the tree was bleeding sap), and to get the touch unlock mechanism fixed (as of last Sunday, you have to click the unlock button on the fob). The touch to unlock the car was not fixed. All other items were taken care of.

When I returned to get my vehicle after a recall inspection, upon arrival no one spoke to me when I entered the service bay even though there were several employees in the area, I didn’t speak with the service advisor about what they found so after I checked out with the cashier and signed the paperwork she didn’t tell me where my vehicle was she just gave me my keys and walked away. I had to ask someone where it was, but she did volunteer to get it for me.

Called service dept. day before, wanted new battery. They gave me OIL CHANGE INSTEAD! Put truck back in, changed battery. WHERE IS COMMUNICATION BETWEEN SERVICE & INSIDE PAPERWORK? Was not charged for oil change, but still had 4,000 miles to go BEFORE it was due! STICKER WAS ON WINDSHIELD. YOUR STICKER WAS PLACED NEXT TO IT! Does this make any sense to ya'll AT ALL????

Sadly, I have once again been disappointed with the service center at McConnell. I have purchased 3 vehicles from this dealership. They are all paid off. Terrible communication as always. Seems like I am the fool for making an appointment and respecting your time. The same respect is never exteneded to myself or husband. We cannot wait until we have to purchase another vehicle so we can go anywhere else. My experience has been the same level of terrible for all of my visits to the servise department. The check out lady is lovely. That is all the praise this center has earned.
